Hi, I'm a 38 year old web designer living in London and I'm trying to learn to speak and read Japanese. I've been doing a course in a local college but I don't know anyone outside the course with whom I can practice what I've learned (I'm quite a beginner). I'm not really sure if this is the right place to ask... but I'm trying to find someone who speaks fluent Japanese who I can communicate with one a (fairly) regular basis. I guess it would be best if I could find someone who shares my interest in Japanese history and culture, sci fi, cinema (especially Japanese), comics, music... but none of these are essential. Also I'm not worried what age or gender they might be. It would just be really great to have someone to chat with who can help me get to grips with 'nihon-go'. Domo arigato gozaimasu. Sean |

Konnichiwa! I am a 47 years old Japanese man. Since I quitted my job in education last year, I've been trying to learn English intensively to make the most of my English ability to do something new. I happened to find this website and to find your e-mail. I was looking for any non-Japanese to talk about Japanese history and culture, cinema etc together. Though I used to read science fiction and comics very much, I don't read them recently. However, I think we can share our interests greatly and exchange knowledge of our own languages, talking or writing together in Japanese and English. Please e-mail me if you think we can help each other. Kohei Murata

I should have sent the previous message to Sean himself. I'll try it again. And if anyone wants to talk or exchange e-mails with me in English or in Japanese, please e-mail me. Kohei Murata |
