I noticed in another post you mentioned the maxim "ichigo ichie" or "one life, one encounter" in english. That happens to be the exact maxim I was looking for, and I was wondering if it would be possible for you to show me a picture of the characters for "ichigo ichie." Dear Autumn, "Ichigo Ichie" means that you should do your best when you receive a guest (in tea ceremony) because you would never meet him again (I mean most of the encounters are unique). Ichigo means one period (of life), i.e "from your birth to the death in this world". Remember for the Buddhists, the life is indestructible and change only the recipient (theory of reincarnation). Can you show me, in a large enough size that I can print it out to use for embroidery, the character for "ichigo". I saw an earlier post with a similar question for a longer phrase including "ichigo", but it's too small for me to use. Thanks. | ||
