do you mean reading? anyway, "i can't read this" これは読めません。 (kore ha/wa yomemasen) "i don't know what it means (says)" 意味が良く分かりません |

about the phrase you translated, I cannot understand the first two kanji used on the translation of "I don't know what this means(says) could you please translate those two kanji into hiragana and then english for me please? |

also, and thank you for such a speedy response, that phrase is very important to me as there are as you can tell, kanji that catch me off guard and that I don't know how to read unless someone is kind and writes hiragana next to it or above it. thank you |

The hirigana for those first two kanji: "Imi." The meaning for them is, well, "meaning." hehe. |
