狡いよね

I've seen this translated as "It is sly, don't you think?" Why is this? I know "zurui" means "it is sly," but what about "yo ne"? Thank you!

"zurui yo ne"

Yes, "it is sly, isn't it" is okay... However, in some contexts "zurui" can have the air of "unfair"... Also, "that's pretty sly/cunning/cheating/crafty/dishonest/slick/foul/unfair of you" would be fine... Do you have a context with it? Japanese is really hard to pull out-of-context...

"yo-ne" is just what it it is... emphasis (yo) and slight request of agreement (ne)...

Here's a good description of ね (ne) from my Microsoft Word XP日本語版の和英辞書:
1〈相手に念をおしたり同意を求めたり, 柔らかく質問したりする付加疑問〉 isn't it?; doesn't it?; don't you?
2〈軽く推測・主張をこめて相手の注意をひく〉I suppose; I should think; I dare say [《英国》 daresay]; you know; you see
3〈呼びかけたり注目をうながす〉 =ねえ 2.

That's a pretty good description for when to use "ne"(^o^)

Anyway, my gut instinct tells me that your ずるいよね (zurui yo ne) is probably on the side of "wow, that's pretty unfair", but, again, could you give a context??

l8r~~

oops, i forgot to translate the description!!!! (ToT)

1 A tag question for when you're reminding someone, requesting agreement, or asking a question softly.
2 To slightly include a conjecture/assertion or get someone's attention
3 Used when calling someone (get someone's attention) or inviting attention. =ねえ (extended vowel) refer to description 2

"zurui yo ne" is the whole sentence. It's in a song, though.

Okay, then, what's the rest of the song? That's what I mean by context! Not just the "rest of the sentence"......... 。(-、-)丿昇竜拳! よっしゅ!

Here's a translation I tried to make a while ago. It might be bad:

I wonder... Are your words
the kind hint of a dream?
All the lies;
You are covering them up.
Isn't that unfair?

You're leaving on a trip.
You turn your back to me,
sensing severe hardness ahead.
Will you fight alone?
Isn't that unfair?

"I'll be back."
Your voice passes me.
My memories creep up.
I pretend to be strong.
Restarting time
I should have yelled
I didn't get angry, but tears spill out.
But now,
what can I do?

You could not say
those 1000 words;
I send them out
to your far away back,
they flutter away on wings.

It could not be said
with 1000 words;
I nestle close
to your injured back,
and embrace you tightly.

The dream continues;
I think about you.
That thing;
I pretended to forget it.
Isn't that unfair?

"I'll write to you"
You say, eyes turned away.
My memories grow.
I pretend to be strong.
Time is restored
Should I have gotten angry?
You cannot wait when you drop your shoulders.
But now,
what can I do?

Can you hear
my 1000 words?
I send them
to your unseen back.
They flutter away on wings.

Can you hear
my 1000 words?
I nestle close
to your exhausted back,
and embrace you tightly.

You could not say
those 1000 words;
La la la la
I send them to your back.
They flutter away on wings.

Can you hear
my 1000 words?
La la la la
I send them to your back.
La la la la
