Hi there. I am looking to get a tattoo on my back written in Japanese. I want it to say "Bastard" or "Godlike Bastard." I prefer just Bastard but I want it to go down my spine, so I am not sure if the word Bastard alone is enough. I used a cd I have that does instant translations, but I am not sure that is it correct (you know how those translation dictionaries can mess things up) Thank you much. | ||

Well, calling someone a bastard in english is not a swear word, per say.... anywhoo, that (aka, "he's a mean bastard") would be: 卑劣漢 (hiretsu-kan) It comes from 卑劣 (hiretsu) which means "meanness" and the suffix 漢 (kan) which means "man". As for illegitimate child: 非嫡出子 (hichakushutsushi) It comes from the prefix 非 (hi) which means "non-" or "un-" (in this case, "il-" or "in-"), the word 嫡出子 (chakushutsushi) which means legitimate child. As for "GODLIKE": 神のような (kami no you na) It's not a word, it's a phrase... 〜のよう (-no you) kind of means "likeness of -". So, "a devilish/diabolic/fiendish human" would be 悪魔のような人間 (akuma no you na ninngen). Or, "a devil of a man" would be 鬼のような人間 (oni no you na ninngen). "GODLIKE ILLEGITIMATE CHILD": 神のような非嫡出子 What a strange tatoo! Haha. Just for kicks... why would you want THAT!? | ||

This has nothing to do with the tattoo, however, there is a kid's game, "tag", and it is called 鬼ごっこをする (oni gokko wo suru). Also, お医者さんごっこをする (o-isha-san gokko wo suru) which is like "playing doctor"! | ||
