dear friends, i really need some help. i'm seeking the english translation of two songs: tabibito no uta (an old folk song) and tabibito no uta by miyuki nakajima. i have a rough translation on both songs in english. but i will be grateful if anybody can help me to the romaji version of both songs and the detailed translation of them. anyone? help! arigato gozaimasu | ||

I can help you with the Nakajima Miyuki song. (I found the lyrics on the Web.) But not the old folk song... do you have the Japanese lyrics to it? It will take some time because I'm busy with work during the next 24 hours. If you can't wait, you may have to look for someone else...gomennasai! | ||

Sub, So the song is a Noguchi Ujo song! You may already know, but he is a famous poet and lyricist, known for the many immensely popular children's songs of Japan. I grew up listening to them and love his lyrics. I didn't know "Tabibito no Uta" -- it appears that it was composed as a folk song. Please wait a while. Maybe some other good soul may volunteer and provide you the information before me. Please post here if you get the information you need before I get to it. | ||

dear friend, most welcome to the new information on the old tabibito no uta. i've never heard of noguchi ujo. i shall hunt more of his works since i love poetry too (more than anything else). i'll wait. it seems waiting is the thing that people hate most but to this particular case, i'll prefer to wait. and you're the only one responding to my cry for help. i've been looking for nakajima miyuki's song for the past eight years. recently, a friend have sent me the lyric of the old tabibito no uta (noguchi ujo's) out of confusion (he thought it was the lyric of nakajima's tabibito no uta). few days ago, i came across the lyric of the tabibito no uta by nakajima miyuki. unfortunately, the dictionary did not help much, and i can't get the romaji straight. i'll wait for many days to come for a news from you on both song. romaji and the english translation. another few days will be nothing compared to the thousand days of yearning and seeking, knowing and sharing the idea of the traveller's song to a better understanding. domo arigato gozaimasu. | ||

umm... hi i found this site searching for Miyuki Nakajima Lyrics as well.. this is exceedingly difficult because i dont know the name of the song... but i recieved a singles' cd featuring two songs plus instrumental versions... one of them starts with something like "kaze no nakara subaru.." and the other starts with "tada eruru... hitomo naku.." sorry if i messed up the romanji.. >_< please help me in any way possible if you can!!
