I'm getting a tattoo soon and I wanted to get the Japanese character for Angel... but I want it to be "pretty" can anyone help me and post the different ways to write Angel in Japanese so I can decide what I want?? If you could email me in private with attachments or whatever that'd be awesome! thanks raverangel42@aol.com |

I have looked in at least five different web sites and gotten 5 different Kanji symbols for each of the following words. Are there that many symbols with the same meanings. I'm a potter and I'm making a triptic as a gift for a cousin. I'd like one panel to read love, one to read honor and one to read respect. Can you help? |

Love, heat, adoration, passion, cherish, care, etc. Honor, duty, valor, responsibility, obligation, etc Respect, admiration, trust, look up to, etc. As you can see, there are many English words with similar meanings yet slightly different nuances. Japanese can also have a group of words with similar meanings yet different nuances (and these nuances are not necessarily the same as in English). This is probably why you get multiple results for the same word. Also, a Japanese word is not always written in a single kanji, sometimes it needs 2 or 3 or more. |
